As President of Structural Restoration Services, Daniel has built his leadership philosophy around accountability, communication, and doing the job right the first time. Whether the company is restoring historic masonry, repairing structural concrete, waterproofing commercial facilities, or managing complex building envelope projects, his focus remains the same: deliver quality craftsmanship without compromising safety or integrity.

For Mark Barshinger, every successful project begins long before construction starts. Careful planning, clear communication, and an unwavering commitment to quality ensure each restoration project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

As Vice President of Operations, Mark oversees the day-to-day execution of projects from initial planning through final completion. His extensive experience coordinating field operations allows him to anticipate challenges before they become problems, keeping projects on schedule while maintaining exceptional workmanship.

Mark understands that restoration work often involves occupied buildings, aging structures, and complex logistical challenges. His ability to coordinate teams, manage resources, and communicate effectively with clients allows Structural Restoration Services to minimize disruption while delivering dependable results.

He takes great pride in building strong relationships with field crews, project managers, and customers alike. By fostering collaboration throughout every phase of construction, Mark helps ensure each project reflects the company's commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and accountability.

Kristen Godfrey believes that great partnerships are built on trust, responsiveness, and genuinely understanding each client's needs. Her role extends far beyond developing new business—she serves as a trusted resource for property owners, facility managers, engineers, architects, and contractors throughout every stage of the restoration process.

With a customer-first mindset, Kristen works closely with clients to understand the unique challenges facing their properties and connect them with practical restoration solutions. She understands that no two buildings are alike, and every project deserves personalized attention, honest communication, and dependable follow-through.

Kristen takes pride in building long-term relationships rather than simply pursuing new opportunities. By staying engaged throughout each project and maintaining open communication, she helps ensure clients feel informed and supported from the first conversation through project completion.

Her passion for service, combined with her knowledge of the restoration industry, allows her to help customers navigate complex structural challenges with confidence. She believes that earning trust is accomplished through listening first, communicating clearly, and consistently delivering on commitments.

Mark was raised in northern Baltimore County and graduated from Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland, in 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry with a concentration in Wood Sciences from West Virginia University in 1999.

After graduation, Mark returned home and began his career in southern York County as a lumber mill manager, overseeing the reclamation of antique wood from barns, homes, and factories. He helped transform these reclaimed materials into custom wood flooring, cabinetry blanks, wainscoting, doors, and other specialty wood products.

He then spent 14 years managing a wholesale native plant nursery in northern Baltimore County, producing native plant species for stormwater management facilities, mine reclamation projects, Chesapeake Bay restoration efforts, and other environmental applications.

Seeking a new challenge, Mark joined Structural Restoration Services, Inc. (SRS) in 2019—a natural fit given his family's history of Italian masons and concrete finishers. Starting as an Assistant Project Manager, he advanced to Senior Project Manager, overseeing projects ranging from multi-million-dollar restoration projects at Johns Hopkins Bayview to detailed water-intrusion investigations at smaller commercial properties.

In January 2025, SRS was acquired by Houck Group, creating an opportunity for Mark to become part of the core leadership team at SRS. In addition to overseeing projects from inception through completion and ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, Mark plays an active role in company operations, hiring, marketing, employee development, and growth-focused initiatives.

Although his career began in forestry and wood science, Mark's dedication, adaptability, leadership, and appreciation for craftsmanship have been consistent throughout his career. Today, he brings that same hands-on approach and commitment to his work at SRS, helping strengthen the company, develop its team, and deliver successful restoration projects for its clients.
